RCEDC approves $72k in grants for Racine County businesses, $330k still available

The newest Racine County grant, the Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) was launched in late 2021. Nearly $72,000 has been approved for businesses throughout Racine County that were negatively affected by the pandemic. Fortunately, there is still $330,000 available.

Robert Pieroni Named Two Time Recipient of RCEDC Lender of the Year Award

Community State Bank’s Kenosha Market President Robert Pieroni was recently awarded the 2021 Racine County Economic Development Corporation (RCEDC) Lender of the Year Award. Pieroni was presented with the award at RCEDC’s Annual Meeting on April 14th, 2022. This is the second consecutive year that Pieroni has received the award.

Creative Welding & Fabrication uses SBA 504 to purchase building, secure tenants, create jobs

Creative Welding & Fabrication previously leased most of the space at 120 Industrial Drive in Burlington. After learning about the U.S. Small Business Administration's (SBA) 504 program, owners Roger Baumeister and Jeremy Uhlenhake decided to purchase the building, which allowed them to expand operations and begin collecting rent from existing tenants.

Jellystone Park Franchise Names Caledonia Location as Camp Resort of the Year 2021

This year, Jellystone Resort in Caledonia was named the "Resort of the Year" by the Jellystone franchise. This award is given to one location per year and the Jellystone franchise is especially happy about the expansion and projects Jellystone Caledonia has completed the past couple of years to aid in the client's demands for the park.

Dan Gallagher’s MyBread Bakery Featured on TMJ4’s Morning Blend

Dan Gallagher started Mybread Bakery with a mission to provide gluten-free breads that are safe for those with food allergies, but not compromise taste or quality. Three years later, Gallagher relocated from Chicago to Racine - with help from the Racine County Economic Development Corporation - and expanded operations by renting a larger space, purchasing better machinery, and hiring additional employees.

In this edition of the Quarterly BLP Newsletter, updates are now available for the new SBA Loan refinance opportunities for existing SBA Loans, a new City of Racine Road Construction Loan Program is promoted for businesses affected by road construction, and to meet the demand of loan applications and closings, BLP is looking to hire a new Loan Closer and Credit Analyst.

Valme North America Expands Using the New Greater Racine County Loan Fund

A new Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) program was capitalized by Racine County to support local companies impacted by the Foxconn development in Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin. The new program is referred to as the Greater Racine County RLF.

SBA 504 Loan Program Covers All of Wisconsin

With the use of the SBA 504 loan program, countless companies have participated to create new forces in the business community. In our Northeast (NE) corner of Wisconsin, Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen utilized this aid for building their businesses. Southeast (SE) Wisconsin also has a few projects that have been funded by the SBA 504 loan program, including Jellystone Camp Resort.

Impact Sports Academy: SBA 504 Loan Advocates

Jason Berken is a retired MLB pitcher from Green Bay, Wisconsin. After pitching 11 seasons in professional baseball, including four in the major leagues with the Baltimore Orioles and the Chicago Cubs, he decided to retire and move his family to Northeast Wisconsin. From here he had a vision – to create an institution that will provide baseball and softball camps, programs, one on one training, etc. for youths (ages 8-18). This is when Impact Sports Academy (ISA) was created.

Without hesitation, when the effects of the coronavirus pandemic breached the State of Wisconsin’s business community, the Racine County Economic Development Corporation's finance team, Business Lending Partners, worked relentlessly to acquire and facilitate relief funds to as many businesses as possible.
