CONTACT USPlanning and construction for Tailwinds Brewing Company began in 2022, with the brewery officially opening its doors in 2025. The operation is expected to produce 500–600 barrels of beer annually and features a rotating lineup of classic and seasonal beers, proprietary seltzers, select wines and ciders, and a craft sandwich menu made with locally sourced ingredients. Its travel-themed atmosphere and strong community focus have drawn media attention from Fox6 Milwaukee and Racine County Eye.
To bring this vision to life, Tailwinds partnered with BLP and Bank Five Nine to secure SBA 504 financing to support construction and the purchase of specialized brewing equipment. In addition to the SBA 504 loan provided by BLP, Racine County Economic Development Corporation (RCEDC) and Union Grove provided a Community Loan to support interest reserves and construction needs. Bank Five Nine financed 46% of total project costs, BLP provided 25%, Union Grove’s Community Loan covered 8%, and the owners contributed a 21% equity injection.
With BLP’s guidance and flexible financing tools, the McNabbs turned their passion into a thriving business, now welcoming the community Wednesday through Sunday with evening and weekend hours.
