They recently purchased a site at 4603 Durand Ave in Mount Pleasant to support their growing business. First Call will use the new location as their primary office and warehouse. BLP provided financing through the Racine County Loan Fund to assist with the purchase of the site.

Jessica Omelian is opening Atmosphere Collaborative Space, at 829 Wisconsin Ave in Racine. Atmosphere will feature a large collaborative workspace along with three private conference rooms in order to accommodate a variety of needs. The goal of this space is collaboration, which will be partly accomplished through events that highlight members' skills and successes. The facility will be managed by Jessica Omelian who is the sole owner of Atmosphere.

Top Paws Grooming, a pet grooming service in downtown Union Grove, has recently secured financing through the Racine County Economic Development Administration Revolving Loan Fund (EDA RLF) to purchase the building they currently occupy at 1033 Main Street, Union Grove. Top Paws is solely owned by Tammy Foldy and has been in operation since 2011. She not only is the owner and operator of Top Paws, but works as a groomer as well. Purchasing the building will secure a space for the business for years to come without disrupting their customer base.

Larkman Construction, a utility excavating company from the Milwaukee area, has purchased two sites in the Town of Raymond in order to relocate to Racine County. Founded in 1989 by Ray Knapp and now owned by his daughter, Stacy Potter, the business does contract work with AT&T, various other utility services, as well as residential work. BLP has partnered with Commerce State Bank to provide 90% of the funding for the purchases through the Economic Development Administration Revolving Loan Fund (EDA RLF).

Spectrum Investment Advisors Inc. is expanding their current facility in Mequon. Continued growth has forced the need for more space, and the expansion will add 1,750 square feet of new space and create access to 1,200 square feet of existing unusable space. The expansion is possible because of help from BLP securing a U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) 504 loan.

Bon Voyage

With headquarters in the Village of Waterford, Bon Voyage Cruises and Vacations, Inc. has purchased their second location in the Village of Union Grove. Having rented a space in Union Grove, the company has continually grown since its establishment in 1997. With this growth, a larger building was required. With guidance from BLP and Community State Bank, Bon Voyage was able to use the Racine County Economic Development Administration Revolving Loan Fund (EDA RLF) to purchase the new building at 1014 Main Street.

Westosha Sports Complex

Silver Sales owners, David and Dorenda Adamecz, take on a new adventure by creating Westosha Sports Complex, LLC. Located in the Silver Lake community of Salem Lakes, WI, Westosha Sports will be a multi-purpose facility. The proposed 10,500 SF training complex will sit on a 2-acre parcel of land in Silver Lake. The makeup of the complex will include two golf tunnels and seven baseball tunnels, five of which will retract into a full Little League field. BLP partnered with MRJ Deals, LLC to assist with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) 504 loan that allowed the Adamecz to explore this new business venture. The relationship between BLP and the Adamecz lead to a project that will fulfill the needs of the Lakeland Little League and the greater community.

Successful enetrprenuers, Chris and Julie Becker, have purchased the historic building that is the Rapids Business Center. The three-story building was built in 1955 and sits on 6.78 acres at 35,848 SF. With the growth of, the newly purchased Rapids Business Center allows the Beckers to house and promote space for other businesses. BLP partnered with Johnson Bank to assist the Beckers with the Economic Development Administration Revolving Loan Fund (EDA RLF). This fund allows business to borrow long term loans that will ultimately be repurposed back into the fund for future borrowers. BLP and the Becker’s relationship lead to a project that will provide greater economic opportunity to the City of Racine.

Merz north America Inc.

Merz North America considered several options before deciding to consolidate its operations in Racine County, including outsourcing distribution activities and relocation of portions of its operations outside of Wisconsin. With the support of the Racine County forgivable loan, administered by Business Lending Partners, Merz North America, Inc. committed to a $3 million capital investment in Racine County, which will be used to facilitate consolidation into a 100,000 square-foot leased facility. This new site will be home to the company's particle manufacturing, packaging, professional services, and distribution operations. The project is expected to retain 165 existing jobs and create a minimum of 20 new jobs over the next three years.

Building Waters, Inc. (Building Waters) is a full-service plumbing company formed in 2011 by Wesley Rosenberg who decided to start his own business as the sole employee. From 2011 to October 2015, Wes operated the business out of his personal residence. Due to the large growth in business, Building Water's rented part of a warehouse at 2101 Lathrop Avenue in October 2015 and completed a build-out of the space including signage and multiple office spaces. In March 2017 Wes discovered the building was being sold; having invested a significant amount of money into the building, he decided to purchase it. With the help of BLP and the City of Racine loan program, he purchased 2101 and 2111 Lathrop Avenue in the City of Racine

Nailed It

This nail salon opened in West Racine in 2011 before relocating in 2014 to its current downtown location on Main Street. The business has outgrown its leased space and desires to offer more services and grow business. To do that, the owners sought a building that would allow for continuded growth in downtown Racine. That opportunity arose across the street from their current location. Anne and her husband John purchased 333 Main Street and are now in the process of renovating it to house the salon.
