Dick's Family Foods

Dick’s Family Foods is fourth-generation family owned grocery store that operated in Wrightstown, WI since 1908. With a need to expand its operations, the family relocated the store in 2000. In 2014 another expansion was accomplished by the sibling owners John and Richard Vanden Wymelenberg with the opening of a second location in Sherwood, WI. With the assistance of Calumet County Bank, Business Lending Partners ( BLP) was able to assist this growing company with financing from the Small Business Association (SBA) 504 program.

Since its beginnings in 1908, Dick’s Family Foods has passed down the store’s legacy over four generations. John and Richard became full owners in 1993 when they purchased all of the stock of the business from their father. Today, both John and Richard each have sons working in the family business and believe their expansion has helped set up success for the next generation.

Dick’s Family Foods is a great example of how the SBA 504 program can be used to help locally owned businesses grow and remain viable.
