Asbury Grain

Asbury Grain is BLP’s latest success with the Small Business Administration (SBA) 504 program! Appreciating the growing needs of its customers, Asbury Grain, a grain storage company owned by a Viroqua native Stuart Nelson, has purchased nearby storage facility. This purchase will more than triple the company’s storage capabilities. Nelson began as a farmer in 1978 and has been owner/manager of Asbury since 2012.

With the assistance of Josh Giddings of Decorah Bank & Trust, in partnership with BLP, the company is well positioned for substantial growth. BLP has access to numerous loan funds to support business growth projects. The SBA 504 program made the most sense for Asbury Grain as it allowed this growing company the ability to retain more of its cash for operations by reducing the project down payment to 15% and provided cash flow stability through SBA’s fixed interest rate for 25-years.
