The Apis Hotel & Restaurant


Paul Campagna is developing at 614 56th St. Kenosha, WI into The Apis Hotel & Restaurant. The building, a former retail space, will house a restaurant with a basement lounge, rooftop bar, and hotel suites. The restaurant will offer small plates and shareable menu options that will change monthly, the basement lounge will be available to rent for parties and corporate events, and the second floor will feature six hotel suites complete with kitchenettes and living spaces.

Paul is a lifetime Kenosha resident and proprietor of several other businesses in the area. Currently, he is the owner and operator of Sazzy B’s, The Buzz, and The Garage. He purchased the site of the new business in 2017 and has already begun renovation. Once completed, the restaurant will be the first of its kind in the Kenosha area.

With help from Thomas at BLP, Apis Hotel LLC. received a SBA 504 loan to help complete the renovation project. This loan and financing from State Bank of the Lakes make up 85% of the renovation funding. Funding from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation and Kenosha Area Business Alliance also support other aspects of the project. The new hotel will bring life to Downtown Kenosha by renovating a long vacant building and adding upwards of forty employees.
