Bay Area Granite and Marble Expands to Third Location

WRIGHTSTOWN, WI – Adam Mueller, owner of Bay Area Granite and Marble, maxed out capacity at two Northeast Wisconsin locations, presenting him with the opportunity to build on the success of his business with another expansion project.

Racine County Economic Development Corporation’s Finance Division, Business Lending Partners (BLP), worked directly with the Village of Wrightstown and Bank First National to finance a new building and additional equipment, and also refinance existing debt used for a previous expansion project.

Aaron Faulkner, Senior Vice President at Bank First National said, “The individuals involved in this process were proactive in reaching out and kept the borrower and the lender informed.”

The Village of Wrightstown recognized the value BAGM brings to the community, so they supported the project by granting the property to the Company as part of a Developers Agreement under a Tax Incremental District (TID).

As part of the agreement BAGM will create 12 full-time jobs.

“Having an innovative and vibrant company like BAGM in the village is amazing for so many reasons,” said Travis Coenen, Wrightstown Village Administrator. “First it will obviously generate increased value in our successful industrial park, and second, it brings great jobs to the area in the manufacturing and design fields.”

Mueller established BAGM in 2008 after purchasing Absolute Granite, his employer at the time. After adding a second location in 2015, the Company’s clients and sales grew tremendously, however capacity became the largest concern.

“When this expansion opportunity arose, the entire BLP staff was diligent, timely and incredibly efficient,” said Mueller. “The SBA 504 product is something that really helped move this project forward and I couldn’t ask for a better group to administer the whole process.”

The new location will supplement the Company’s growth with a 62,350 sq ft building that includes an office and showroom along with storage and manufacturing areas.

“BAGM is a very community-oriented company with strong beliefs on giving back to the community, said Coenen. “They are respected by their peers and set a good example for future businesses looking at the Village of Wrightstown.”
