BLP Provides Funding for Racine’s Newest Reception Venue, The Covenant


Business Lending Partners (BLP) was pleased to assist in the funding for Racine’s newest reception venue called “The Covenant at Murray Mansion” which is located at 2219 Washington Avenue.  The facility underwent a remarkable renovation that preserved and enhanced the historical elements of this 140-year old property.  The property, a former church, also includes an attached mansion.   

The Covenant at Murray Mansion is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is beautifully situated on nearly two acres of land in Racine.  With financial support from the City of Racine, Johnson Bank, and BLP, an attractive funding package was assembled to accomplish this purchase and renovation project.

During the first full year of operations, the new location is anticipated to attract approximately 6,800 wedding guests to Racine. The newly renovated facility includes three venue spaces, each with their own unique historic charm, will accommodate up to 525 guests. The attached mansion features a grand staircase, marble fireplaces in every room, two adjoining dining rooms, a main family room, and study. The renovation was completed in early 2017 and several weddings and events have been successfully completed at the new location.
